Thanks to everyone who joined the balloon race at Picnic in The Park in August.
100+ balloons were released raising some much-needed funds for the Powrie Park Project.
Perhaps more remarkably, over the past 3 weeks a few faded, damp tickets have made it back to Abernethy - courtesy of some friendly folks in the north east.
The balloon that travelled the furthest was
Ticket 114 - bought by Brian Stewart, found at The Hill of Deskie, Bridge End of Glenlivet, Banffshire. Thanks Andrew Cameron for sending back to us. And congrats Brian on having an adventurous balloon! An amazon gift voucher will be winging its way to you both very soon.
Other well travelled balloons included:
Ticket 113 – bought by Brodie Provan-Sinclair, found at Tomnavoulin Farm, Glenlivet (only 3 miles south of the winning ticket!) by Colin Fraser
Ticket 40 – bought by Jemima Butler, found near Crathie, Ballater, Aberdeenshire by Patricia Fraser
Ticket 11 - bought by (no name entered), found near Aberbothrie Farms, Alyth, Perthshire by George Simpson
Ticket 41 – bought by Ottie Butler, found Hole of Clean Farm, Glencarse, Perthshire by Euan Dunbar
Ticket 74 - bought by Sam Donnachie, found near the Ballo Burn, Abernethy (!) by Mairi Lang
I guess there was a decent NE wind the day of the race! Thanks again everyone.
